Prescription Requirement

We highly recommend providing a valid prescription to ensure your eyewear meets your current vision needs. It's important to have a comprehensive eye exam every two years to maintain good eye health and ensure the suitability of your purchased eyewear.

Contact lens and eyeglass prescriptions are not interchangeable due to the different distances from the eye. Using a contact lens prescription to order glasses is not permissible for legal and safety reasons. GVecchi is not responsible for remake costs if an incorrect order is placed with a contact lens prescription.

Blue light glasses are specifically designed to mitigate digital eye strain, also known as computer vision syndrome, by shielding against excessive blue light exposure. By wearing blue light glasses, you can experience improved restfulness and enhanced sleep quality.

To safeguard against excessive blue light exposure, it is advised to wear computer glasses or blue light filter glasses whenever you use digital devices.

Computer glasses or blue light filter glasses are highly effective in reducing exposure to blue light, thereby preventing disruption of circadian rhythms. They are an excellent choice to safeguard your sleep when using digital devices throughout the day.

To clean your blue light glasses, use a microfiber cloth to remove dust, then wash with cold water and mild soap. Avoid solvents or alcohol to prevent lens damage. View more

Returns & Warranties

Our warranty covers manufacturer's defects on frames and lenses within one year of the delivery date, but it does not cover damage caused by wear and tear from everyday use, sudden force or impact, or accidental damage. Examples of damage that are not covered include lens scratches, loose hinges, missing screws, broken frames, detached temple tips, or detached nose pads.

Cosmetic issues, such as scratches, paint chips, or marks, are not covered by the warranty unless they are reported within 14 days of delivery and occurred straight from the box. After 14 days, such issues will be considered as wear and tear and therefore not eligible for any return or warranty claim. If the same product is unavailable, we're happy to suggest a similar product or offer a refund.

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Wear and tear;
  • Any alterations or repairs carried out by a party other than GIUSTIZIERI VECCHI (GV);
  • Accidental loss or damage;
  • Changes to designs and/or colour after purchase;
  • Purchases or deliveries outside New Zealand;
  • Any alterations or fixes that were not carried out by GIUSTIZIERI VECCHI, as well as any harm resulting from mishandling, disregard, or negligence (such as scratches caused by dropping or lens crazing resulting from being left in high temperatures), are not covered.
  • Damages resulting from natural disasters
  • The warranty does not cover chipped 1.5 index lenses in half-rim styles purchased. Therefore, we recommend using 1.6 index lenses for greater durability.
  • The warranty does not cover items that were not purchased from GV. For instance, if only lenses were purchased, the warranty will not cover any frame used for the lenses. Similarly, if only frames were purchased, the warranty will not cover any lenses used in the frames.
  • If an incorrect prescription is provided to GV, the warranty does not cover any resulting issues.

Kindly note that we are unable to provide refunds for purchases in the event of a change of mind. We kindly urge you to exercise careful consideration and thoughtful decision-making before making your purchase.

In case you encounter a manufacturing defect within 365 days of delivery, please get in touch with us via our email address to request assistance with your one-time replacement.

All warranty claims are subject to review. Once we have assessed a photo of the defect, any glasses or sunglasses classified as defective may be returned for a one-time replacement.

This warranty provides extra benefits, in addition to any other rights or remedies available to you by law. Our products are covered by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, which entitles you to a replacement or refund in the event of a major failure. If the goods do not meet acceptable quality standards and the failure is not classified as a major failure, you may have them repaired or replaced.

Gift cards are not refundable or redeemable for cash.

Giustizieri Vecchi provides a free shipping service for purchases of more than $150. For the less, the shipping fee is a flat rate of $10 New Zealand-wide.
